in what order should the sections be attempted?

NMAT has three sections that need to be attempted in a pre-decided order. You can select the sequence of sections in 3! ways. So, in descending order of preference, if I am inclined towards VA-RC, then DI-LR and then QA, I will select the sequence of sections in that particular order. You can choose whichever section you will attempt first. The maximum amount of time per section is given for the QA section (60 minutes for 48 questions), followed by the DI-LR section (38 minutes for 40 questions), and then the VA-RC section (22 minutes for 32 questions). Usually, people opt for the QA section first, given the amount of time per question and that NMAT mathematics is not nearly as tough as other exams like CAT and XAT. But then there are people like me who prefer Verbal Ability more. So make your choice, and attempt as many mock tests as possible to get a clear strategy.
